SALT LAKE CITY- The 7th ranked SLCC Bruin Volleyball team knocked down the 2nd ranked Western Wyoming Mustangs in three sets.  All three sets were hard fought with two sets going past 25 but the relentless Bruins pulled ahead to take the match in three.  Salt Lake is now 15-5 overall and will face Colorado Northwestern and Eastern Utah on the road this weekend.

Middle hitter Mayra Ramirez finished with a season high 10 kills and a .455 hitting percentage.  Ramirez also led the SLCC blocking attack. Ramirez (7) and Leyla Redondo (5) combined for 12 block assists of SLCC’s 14 total. 

Maddie Bushman had a double-double in the match with a team high 13 kills and a team high 13 digs.  Kellie Turner added eight kills.  SLCC held Western Wyoming to a .156 hitting percentage and 23 attack errors in the three sets.

The Bruins (15-5, 1-1) head to Rangley Colorado to face Colorado Northwestern (2-11, 0-1) on Friday, September 30 and Eastern Utah (5-12, 1-0) on October 1st in Price, Utah.
