(1/8/10)-In the first conference games of the New Year, Salt Lake defeated CEU in a thriller in Price 74-73, Colorado Northwestern won their first conference game in over five years 88-79, and in the battle of the Idaho's-the North beat the South 80-69.

SLCC’s Mayhew hits the Game Winner
PRICE, Utah (January 8, 2010) - John Hayward-Mayhew hit the game winning free throw with .8 second left to give Salt Lake Community College a 74-73 road win over league leaders College of Eastern Utah. SLCC is now 14-3 overall and 5-2 in the SWAC.
Sharp shooter Jake Dastrup led Salt Lake with 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the arc while Darrian Norris scored 17 points with 8 assists and five rebounds.
Salt Lake (14-3, 5-2 SWAC) finishes the road trip against Colorado Northwestern Community College (1-13, 1-6 SWAC) in Rangley Colorado.
